We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a love for coffee and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service. As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing and serving a variety of beverages, maintaining cleanliness in the cafe, and ensuring that every customer has a delightful experience. Experience in table service and customer management is essential.

Duties

Prepare and serve high-quality coffee and tea beverages according to standard recipes. Latte Art is an essential part of this position. Assist customers in selecting menu items and provide recommendations based on their preferences. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the cafe, including workstations, equipment, and dining areas. Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently while adhering to food safety standards. Manage time effectively to ensure prompt service during busy periods. Assist with food preparation as needed, ensuring adherence to food safety regulations. Collaborate with team members to create a positive work environment and enhance customer satisfaction.

Experience

Previous experience as a Barista or in a similar role is essential and the candidate must be able to do basic latte art but further training will be provided. Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions and calculating change. Knowledge of food safety practices is advantageous. Strong time management skills to prioritise tasks effectively during peak hours. A friendly demeanour with excellent communication skills to engage with customers positively.
