Job Overview

We are seeking a proactive and experienced Barista/Shift Supervisor to help run daily operations within our busy food service environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring smooth service delivery, maintaining high standards as a trained barista and ensuring that the team members are supported during service.

Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate team members during shifts to ensure efficient service. Uphold food safety standards in accordance with health regulations and company policies. Manage customer orders, including serving and assisting with enquiries. Handle cash register operations, including basic maths for transactions and balancing tills at the end of shifts. Ensure cleanliness and organisation of the work environment throughout the shift. Address customer concerns promptly and professionally to ensure satisfaction.

Skills

Barista experience is essential, with knowledge of coffee preparation preferred. Experience in serving customers efficiently while maintaining high standards of service. Strong organisational skills with excellent time management abilities to prioritise tasks effectively during busy periods. Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions accurately. Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and manage a team under pressure. Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with staff and customers alike.
