Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and confident

Barista Supervisor

to support the daily running of our coffee shop and lead the team on shift. This role is ideal for someone with strong

hands-on barista experience

who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in delivering exceptional coffee and customer service.

The successful candidate must have solid experience working with

commercial espresso machines

, including dialing in coffee, pulling consistent espresso shots, steaming milk to a high standard, and producing

basic latte art

. This is a hands-on role, and applicants without practical barista experience should not apply.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the team during shifts, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and excellent customer experience Prepare and serve high-quality coffee and tea beverages to brand standards Confidently operate commercial coffee equipment, including espresso machines and grinders Dial in espresso, monitor extraction times, adjust grind settings, and maintain coffee quality throughout service Steam milk correctly for different beverages and produce consistent

basic latte art

Support training of junior staff, maintaining consistency across the team Ensure food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness standards are upheld at all times Assist with light food preparation and service where required Handle customer queries professionally and confidently Support stock control and communicate low stock levels to management Maintain an organised, clean, and welcoming bar area

Essential Requirements

Proven barista experience is essential

Confident working with

commercial espresso machines and grinders

Strong understanding of espresso extraction, grind adjustment, shot timing, and milk texturing Ability to consistently produce

basic latte art

Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards Strong customer service skills with a friendly, professional approach Ability to lead by example and work well within a team Excellent time management skills, especially during busy service periods

Desirable

Previous experience in a

Barista

role Hospitality or cafe environment background

Important Note

This role is

not suitable for entry-level staff

Pay: Up to 13.25 per hour
