Job Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista/Team Leader to join our team. As a Barista, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming environment for our customers while preparing and serving high-quality beverages and food items. Your expertise in coffee preparation and customer service will enhance the overall experience for our patrons. You will also be expected to ensure staff are doing their jobs and keep them on task, and assist on the management of the overall site.

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and other drinks according to established recipes and standards. Ensure all food safety protocols are followed during food preparation and serving. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the play frame, main floor and cafe. Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers, taking orders accurately, and addressing any inquiries or concerns. Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, ensuring that all items meet quality standards. Handle cash transactions and operate the till efficiently, applying basic math skills for accurate billing. Manage time effectively to ensure prompt service during peak hours while maintaining quality standards. Ensure all staff members are doing their jobs correctly and delegate tasks accordingly

Qualifications

Previous barista experience is essential Knowledge of food safety practices is highly desirable. Strong serving skills with a focus on customer satisfaction. Basic math skills for handling transactions accurately. Leadership experience is desirable but not required. Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. A friendly disposition with the ability to work well in a team setting as well as independently. Pay: 10.00-12.50 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 40 per week
