Duties

Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the work area, ensuring compliance with food safety standards. Assist in food preparation and serving of light snacks or pastries as required. Engage with customers to take orders, provide recommendations, and ensure satisfaction with their selections. Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently, utilising basic math skills for register operations. Manage time effectively to ensure timely service during busy periods while maintaining quality standards. Collaborate with team members to create a positive work environment and support each other in daily tasks.

Skills

Previous barista experience is highly desirable but not essential; training will be provided. Strong understanding of food safety practices to ensure the highest standards of hygiene are maintained. Excellent serving skills with the ability to interact positively with customers. Basic math skills for handling transactions and managing orders effectively. Good time management skills to prioritise tasks during peak hours while maintaining attention to detail. A passion for coffee culture and a willingness to learn about different brewing techniques and beverage preparation. Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 7.55-12.25 per hour

Expected hours: 12 - 35 per week
