Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly and efficient

Barista

to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering excellent guest service, creating high-quality beverages, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere. This role offers an opportunity to develop skills within the hospitality industry while working in a dynamic environment. The successful applicant will be responsible for preparing and serving a variety of hot and cold drinks, assisting customers with their orders, and ensuring the cleanliness and organisation of the workspace.

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve a variety of beverages including coffee, tea, and specialised drinks in accordance with company standards. Provide exceptional guest service by taking orders, answering questions, and offering product recommendations. Maintain cleanliness of the counter area, equipment, and seating areas to ensure health and safety compliance. Handle cash transactions accurately and operate point-of-sale systems efficiently. Upsell products to maximise sales opportunities while ensuring customer satisfaction. Follow food safety protocols and hygiene standards at all times during food preparation and service. Assist in stock management by replenishing supplies as needed and notifying management of inventory shortages. Support team members during busy periods to ensure smooth operations.

Requirements

Previous experience in hospitality, restaurant service, or food preparation is highly desirable. Knowledge of food safety standards and proper handling procedures. Basic maths skills for cash handling and transaction processing. Experience with food preparation or culinary activities is advantageous. Strong time management skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy periods. Excellent guest service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanour. Ability to upsell products effectively to enhance customer experience and sales performance. Kitchen experience or prior serving experience will be considered an asset. A positive attitude with a willingness to learn new skills in a fast-paced environment.
