Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our vibrant team. As a Barista, you will play a crucial role in creating an inviting atmosphere for our customers while serving high-quality beverages and food. You will be responsible for preparing and serving coffee, tea, and other refreshments, ensuring that all health and safety standards are met. This position requires excellent time management skills and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.

Duties

Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness in the work area. Assist with food preparation, including pastries and light snacks, ensuring freshness and quality. Provide friendly and efficient service to customers, taking orders accurately and handling payments. Maintain stock levels of ingredients and supplies, reporting any shortages to management. Keep the cafe environment clean and organised, including seating areas and equipment. Engage with customers to create a welcoming atmosphere and handle any inquiries or complaints professionally.

Experience

Previous barista experience is highly desirable but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate. Knowledge of food safety practices is important to ensure compliance with health regulations. Experience in serving customers in a fast-paced environment is beneficial. Basic math skills are required for handling transactions accurately. Strong time management skills to efficiently manage multiple tasks during busy periods. A passion for coffee culture and an eagerness to learn about different brewing techniques will be advantageous.
