Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly and efficient

Barista

to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering exceptional guest service, creating high-quality beverages, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop skills within the hospitality industry while working in a fast-paced environment. Prior experience in food service or restaurant settings is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided. The successful applicant will be responsible for preparing beverages, assisting guests, and ensuring cleanliness and safety standards are upheld.

Duties

Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialised drinks, ensuring consistency and quality. Greet guests warmly and provide attentive guest services to enhance their experience. Take orders accurately and efficiently, managing multiple tasks during busy periods. Handle cash transactions and operate POS systems with precision. Maintain cleanliness of the work area, including equipment, counters, and seating areas, adhering to food safety standards. Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth operation throughout shifts. Upsell menu items to maximise sales opportunities while providing excellent customer service. Follow health and safety regulations related to food preparation and handling.

Skills

Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant environments is preferred but not mandatory. Strong knowledge of food safety practices and food preparation techniques. Excellent guest service skills with a friendly and professional demeanour. Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions accurately. Good organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively during busy periods. Experience with food preparation or culinary tasks is advantageous. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail. Knowledge of upselling techniques to enhance sales performance.
