Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Barista to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hospitality and a love for coffee culture. As a Barista, you will be responsible for crafting high-quality beverages, providing exceptional guest services, and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for all customers. Your role will involve not only serving drinks but also engaging with guests to enhance their experience through upselling and personalised service.

Duties

Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and tea beverages according to established recipes and standards. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the coffee station, kitchen area, and dining space. Engage with customers to take orders, provide recommendations, and ensure satisfaction with their selections. Upsell additional items such as pastries or snacks to enhance the customer experience. Adhere to food safety regulations and maintain high standards of hygiene in food preparation areas. Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages as needed. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient service during peak hours while managing time effectively. Participate in ongoing training sessions to improve skills in beverage preparation and guest interaction.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a restaurant or cafe environment is preferred, showcasing strong hospitality skills. Knowledge of food safety practices and experience in food preparation is essential. Basic math skills are required for handling transactions accurately. Experience in kitchen or culinary roles is advantageous but not mandatory. Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during busy periods. Strong guest service orientation with the ability to engage positively with customers. A willingness to learn about coffee varieties, brewing methods, and menu offerings is essential.
