Job Overview

We are looking for a skilled Barista to join our team in creating exceptional coffee experiences for our customers. The ideal candidate will have a passion for coffee and delivering excellent customer service.

From morning coffee to cocktails at lunch, a Joanna's bartender needs the same key ingredients: charisma, confidence and a cool head.

Day to day your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing and serving a variety of hot and cold beverages, from tea and coffee to creative sparking cocktails.
- Cutting and serving our delicious homemade cakes alongside hot drinks.
- Taking customer orders accurately and efficiently.
- Provide excellent customer service at all times.
- Upsell products and promote special items on the menu.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the coffee and cake preparation area.
- Follow food safety standards and guidelines.
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks in the kitchen, such as cakes, drinks garnish etc.

Experience

Required Skills:
- Experience in a guest services or restaurant environment.
- Barista experience
- Strong time management skills and ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Basic maths skills for handling transactions
- Knowledge of food safety practices

Hourly pay grade discussed further upon interview.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: 12.50-14.00 per hour
