The Bloom & Brew is a warm and welcoming cafe nestled inside our busy, family-run garden centre. We pride ourselves on offering delicious refreshments, friendly service, and a relaxing atmosphere for our guests. We are now looking for an enthusiastic Barista/Waitress to join our team and help us deliver memorable experiences to every visitor.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and serve beverages

including a variety of hot and cold drinks such as coffees, teas, and speciality beverages.

Deliver exceptional customer service

by greeting guests warmly and providing attentive, personalised care throughout their visit.

Support food preparation

, including assembling snacks, cakes, and other light cafe offerings when required.

Maintain a clean and organised workspace

, ensuring all equipment and surfaces are sanitised regularly and meet hygiene standards.

Operate the cash register accurately

, processing payments, handling card and cash transactions, and giving correct change.

Assist with stock management

, including restocking supplies and helping with basic inventory tasks.

Work efficiently during peak times

, maintaining composure and consistently high service standards even during busy periods.

Requirements

Previous experience in hospitality, restaurant service, or similar customer-facing roles is desirable.

Barista experience is required

, with confidence in preparing a range of coffees and speciality drinks. Knowledge of food safety standards and basic food preparation skills is advantageous. Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to multitask effectively. Friendly, approachable communication style suited to guest-focused service. Experience within kitchen or culinary environments is beneficial but not essential. A proactive, positive attitude and the ability to work well under pressure within a supportive, team-oriented environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 12.50 per hour

Expected hours: 32.5 - 40 per week
