Responsibilities

Greet and welcome guests in a friendly manner, ensuring they feel valued and comfortable. Take accurate food and drink orders, using basic math skills to process transactions efficiently. Serve food and beverages promptly, adhering to food safety standards throughout the process. Upsell menu items to enhance the dining experience and increase sales. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and delivery. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the dining area, including tables and service stations. Handle guest inquiries and complaints with professionalism, striving for complete satisfaction. Assist in training new staff members as needed, sharing knowledge of best practices in serving and guest services.

Experience

Previous restaurant experience is highly desirable, particularly in a serving role. Familiarity with food safety regulations and practices is essential. Experience in food preparation or kitchen operations is advantageous. Strong time management skills to efficiently handle multiple tables and tasks simultaneously. A background in hospitality or culinary arts would be beneficial but is not mandatory. Excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to create positive interactions with guests and team members alike.
