Job Summary


We are seeking a friendly and professional Bartender to join our vibrant hospitality team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for delivering excellent customer service and creating a welcoming atmosphere. This role involves preparing and serving beverages, engaging with guests, and ensuring the bar area maintains high standards of cleanliness and safety. Previous experience in a restaurant or bar setting is preferred, along with a strong understanding of food safety and responsible serving practices. The successful applicant will thrive in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating excellent time management skills and the ability to multitask effectively.

Duties



Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with standard recipes and customer preferences. Engage with guests in a friendly and professional manner, ensuring an enjoyable experience. Take orders accurately, process payments efficiently, and handle cash or card transactions responsibly. Maintain cleanliness of the bar area, including washing glasses, cleaning surfaces, and restocking supplies as needed. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and responsible alcohol service policies at all times. Monitor guest behaviour to promote a safe environment, intervening when necessary. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth service during busy periods. Assist with organising events or special promotions as required.

Qualifications



Proven experience in hospitality, food safety, or serving roles within a restaurant or bar environment is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of food safety standards and responsible alcohol service practices. Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage positively with diverse customers. Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately. Good organisational skills with effective time management to prioritise tasks efficiently. A personable attitude with the ability to work well under pressure in a lively setting. Previous experience in restaurant settings is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates.
