Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Bar/Pub Manager to join our new team at Gibraltar Rock in Tynemouth. The venue launched recently and is already one of the most iconic locations to eat and drink anywhere in the North East. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for delivering exceptional service within a Bar or Pub environment. This role involves supporting the General Manager in overseeing daily operations, ensuring high standards of beverage service, and leading a team to achieve operational excellence.

Responsibilities

Assist the General Manager in managing daily operations of the bar, ensuring a seamless guest experience. Supervise and mentor staff across various departments, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment. Help develop and implement training programmes for team members to enhance service quality and operational efficiency. Monitor inventory levels, assist with ordering supplies, and ensure proper stock management. Address guest inquiries and concerns promptly, ensuring satisfaction and loyalty. Collaborate with management to create strategies for improving service delivery and operational performance. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of all areas within the establishment, adhering to health and safety standards.

Qualifications

Proven experience in a leadership role within the hospitality industry, preferably in a Bar or Pub setting. Strong team management skills with the ability to motivate and inspire staff. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on customer service. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required. Strong problem-solving skills with an emphasis on maintaining high standards under pressure. A genuine passion for hospitality and commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences.
