Duties

Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, including alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met Take orders from guests accurately and efficiently, providing friendly and attentive service throughout their visit Assist with food preparation and presentation when required, maintaining cleanliness and organisation in the bar area Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and maximise sales opportunities Maintain cleanliness of the bar area, including glassware, utensils, and work surfaces, adhering to food safety standards Manage cash register operations, handle payments accurately, and provide correct change Monitor stock levels of beverages and supplies, notifying management when reordering is necessary Ensure compliance with licensing laws and health & safety regulations at all times Greet hotel guests with a smile and help them check-in.

Requirements

Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant environments is preferred; experience in serving or bar work is advantageous Knowledge of food safety standards and basic food preparation skills Strong organisational skills with excellent time management abilities to handle busy periods effectively Good communication skills with a friendly approach to guest services Ability to upsell menu items confidently to enhance guest satisfaction and revenue Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately Kitchen or culinary experience is a plus but not essential; willingness to learn new skills is important A professional attitude with the ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required
