Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Bar Supervisor to oversee our bar operations and ensure an exceptional guest experience. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for hospitality, and a solid background in food and beverage management. This role involves supervising staff, managing inventory, and maintaining high standards of food safety and quality.

Responsibilities

Oversee daily bar operations, ensuring efficient service and adherence to health and safety regulations. Manage and train bar staff, fostering a positive team environment through effective leadership and team management. Develop and implement innovative drink menus while maintaining quality standards in food preparation and presentation. Monitor inventory levels, placing orders as necessary to ensure stock availability while minimising waste. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness in the bar area. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth delivery of food and drink service. Engage with guests to provide outstanding service, address concerns, and enhance their overall experience. Maintain records of sales, expenses, and other operational metrics to inform management decisions.

Requirements

Proven experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry, preferably with restaurant experience. Strong culinary experience with knowledge of food preparation techniques and food safety standards. Previous supervisory experience with demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team effectively. Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service and guest satisfaction. Familiarity with barista duties is advantageous but not essential. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. A passion for hospitality combined with strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.
