Barrier Man/support Driver
Job Description
We are looking for a barrier man/support driver to cover the York Hull and East Coast area of the district.
You will be working on a Gas contract throughout Yorkshire, your main duties will be removing all singing lighting and guarding from excavations in the highway and returning them to the correct depot, making sure the site is swept and left in a tidy condition.
A company van will be provided as well as a mobile phone.
Previous experience in the utility industry or traffic management is preferred, a full Uk driving licence is essential, Shea Gas card and Streetworks card an advantage but not essential as this can be provided, you must be competent in the use of apps on a mobile phone as there is various apps that need to be completed for each site.
You will need to be physically fit as this is a manual role and some heavy lifting will be required.
Hours are 6am - 4pm daily with regular overtime and weekend work available.
Hourly rate is 12.41 all overtime is paid at time and a half.
You must pass a drug and alcohol test before you will be offered a place on an induction.
We have a clean shave policy all operatives must be clean shaven daily this is a strict health and safety rule no operatives with facial hair will be allowed to work on site.
Interviews will be held at our Wakefield depot week commencing 01/09/2025
