Overview

We are looking for friendly, energetic Bar Staff to join our team at Magee's Wine Bar. You will be responsible for mixing drinks, serving wine, chatting to customers, and helping create a relaxed, sociable atmosphere.

Duties

Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area, ensuring all equipment is in good working order. Provide excellent customer service by engaging with patrons, taking orders, and responding to inquiries. Manage inventory levels, including ordering supplies as needed while minimising waste. Adhere to food safety and hygiene regulations at all times. Collaborate with kitchen staff and other team members to ensure smooth operations during busy periods. Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently, ensuring proper cash management practices are followed.

Skills

Knowledge of wines desirable but training will be provided. Strong time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently during peak hours. Excellent hospitality skills with a focus on creating memorable experiences for guests. Previous experience in a restaurant or bar setting is preferred but not essential; training will be provided. Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions and managing inventory effectively. Knowledge of food safety practices to ensure compliance with health regulations. A friendly and approachable demeanour, with the ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Able to work evenings and weekends
