Job Description

The Queen of Hope Street is on the look out for a skilled and enthusiastic bartender to join our team.

We are located opposite the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic, on the corner of Hope and Myrtle Street specialising in cask ales and whiskeys.

The ideal candidate for this role will have a passion for hospitality with some cocktail training and have a good knowledge of cask ales, however full training will be provided. We are looking for someone with great customer service skills, who will be able to provide a great customer experience.

You will be responsible for preparing and serving a variety of beverages and food while ensuring the highest standards of service and food safety are maintained.

This role requires excellent time management skills and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

The key responsibilities for this role will be

Preparing and serving beverages according to established recipes and standards. Providing exceptional customer service by engaging with guests and being able to make recommendations based on their preferences. Maintaining cleanliness of the bar and floor to a high standard, including collecting and washing glasses. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and responsible alcohol service practices. Monitor inventory levels, restock supplies as needed. Stay informed about new drink recipes, trends in the industry, and seasonal offerings to enhance guest experience. Handle cash and card transactions accurately and efficiently, utilising basic maths skills for processing payments. Adhering to company policies.

Qualifications

Previous bartending experience is preferred but not essential; a willingness to learn is key. Strong knowledge of drink recipes, cocktail preparation techniques. Excellent hospitality skills with a friendly and approachable demeanour. Good time management abilities to handle busy periods effectively while maintaining quality service. Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions accurately. Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. A passion for the hospitality industry and a commitment to providing outstanding service.
