Purpose of the Role

The Bartender plays a vital role in delivering a welcoming and professional bar experience. This position requires a confident, personable individual with proven bar experience and excellent product knowledge. You'll create and serve drinks efficiently while maintaining high service standards and a friendly, approachable manner.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and serve a range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, including wine, beer, spirits, and cocktails. Maintain product knowledge of Trancio's drinks list, including Wild Horse Brewery products and seasonal offerings. Deliver friendly, attentive customer service, ensuring guests feel welcome and well looked after. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area at all times. Handle cash and card transactions accurately through the Square POS system. Check identification and ensure all alcohol is served responsibly in accordance with the

Licensing Act 2003

. Assist with stock rotation, bar restocking, and cellar management as required. Support front-of-house and kitchen colleagues during busy service periods. Uphold brand presentation standards, including glassware polishing, garnish preparation, and bar display.

Skills and Experience Required

Minimum 1 year's experience working in a bar, pub, or restaurant environment. Confident knowledge of beers, wines, and spirits; cocktail-making skills desirable. Excellent communication and multitasking skills. A passion for customer service and hospitality. Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure. Experience using POS systems (Square or similar). Must be 18+ and eligible to serve alcohol under UK law.
