Job Description

Position Overview:

We are currently seeking a friendly, dedicated, and service-minded individual to join our team at a warm and welcoming Italian restaurant and lounge near Great Portland Street. The role primarily focuses on table service and guest interaction, with some responsibility for preparing and serving cocktails at the bar. While prior mixology experience is an advantage, full training will be provided.

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Interaction & Service

Welcome and engage with guests in a friendly, professional manner Take food and drink orders accurately and deliver a smooth, attentive dining experience Provide menu recommendations and ensure guest satisfaction throughout their visit

Table Service

Serve food and beverages efficiently and courteously Handle customer needs promptly and maintain high service standards Coordinate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure timely delivery of orders

Bar & Beverage Duties

Prepare and serve cocktails, wines, coffees, and other beverages Learn and apply cocktail-making techniques (training provided) Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including glassware, garnishes, and stock

Order Processing & Payments

Use the point-of-sale (POS) system to input orders, manage bills, and process payments accurately Handle cash and card transactions responsibly

Teamwork & Professionalism

Work closely with colleagues to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for all guests Follow health, safety, and hygiene guidelines at all times Support the team during busy service hours with a positive attitude

Requirements:

Previous experience as a waiter or bartender preferred, but not essential Strong customer service skills and a friendly, approachable personality Interest in Italian cuisine and cocktail preparation Ability to multitask and work well under pressure Good communication and teamwork skills Basic understanding of POS systems and cash handling Must have the legal right to work in the UK

Pay: 12.21-14.00 per hour
