Duties

Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes and customer preferences. Maintain an organised bar area, ensuring cleanliness and compliance with food safety regulations. Engage with customers in a friendly manner, taking orders and providing recommendations based on their preferences. Handle cash transactions accurately, including processing payments and giving change. Monitor inventory levels of drinks and supplies, restocking as necessary to ensure smooth operations. Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate food orders when required. Uphold responsible serving practices, ensuring compliance with licensing laws and regulations.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a restaurant or bar setting is preferred, demonstrating familiarity with the hospitality industry. Strong knowledge of food safety practices to ensure the highest standards of hygiene are maintained. Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and managing tabs effectively. Excellent time management skills to efficiently handle multiple tasks during busy periods. A friendly demeanour with the ability to engage positively with customers, enhancing their overall experience. A willingness to learn new skills related to bartending techniques and drink preparation is essential.
