Responsibilities

Greet and seat guests promptly, ensuring they feel welcomed and valued. Take accurate food and drink orders, using basic math skills to process transactions efficiently. Serve food and beverages in a timely manner, adhering to food safety and hygiene standards. Upsell menu items to enhance the dining experience and increase sales. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth communication regarding orders and special requests. Maintain cleanliness of the dining area, including tables, chairs, and service stations. Handle guest inquiries and complaints with professionalism, striving for complete guest satisfaction. Assist with food preparation as needed, demonstrating culinary experience when applicable. Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure all guests receive prompt service.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred. Excellent communication skills with a focus on guest services. Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Basic math skills for handling payments and processing orders accurately. Time management skills to prioritise tasks effectively during peak hours. A positive attitude with a willingness to learn about menu items and upselling techniques.
