Duties

Greet and welcome guests with a friendly and positive attitude. Take accurate food and drink orders using the restaurant's ordering system. Serve food and beverages promptly while ensuring presentation meets our standards. Provide knowledgeable recommendations to guests, including upselling menu items when appropriate. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the dining area, including resetting tables for new guests. Assist in food preparation as needed, ensuring adherence to food safety standards. Handle guest inquiries and complaints with professionalism and courtesy, striving for resolution. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service and quality of dishes served. Manage time effectively to ensure all tables receive attention throughout their dining experience.

Requirements

Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred. Strong knowledge of food safety practices and culinary techniques is advantageous. Basic math skills for handling transactions accurately. Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently. Ability to work well under pressure in a busy environment while maintaining composure. Strong communication skills with an emphasis on guest services and teamwork. A passion for the culinary arts and an eagerness to learn about menu offerings. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.
