Job Overview

We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Front of House Staff to join our hard working team in the Scottish Borders. The ideal candidates will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional service to our guests, ensuring a welcoming and enjoyable experience at our award winning inn.

This position requires individuals who are passionate about hospitality and possess strong communication skills. Experience in customer service & catering is advantageous but not essential.

Duties

Greet and welcome guests as they arrive, providing a friendly and professional first impression. Take orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring all customer requests are met. Assist with food preparation and presentation, adhering to food safety standards. Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organisation. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service during busy periods. Handle customer inquiries and complaints with professionalism and courtesy. Maintain a clean and organised front of house area, including dining spaces and service counters. Support catering events as required, ensuring all aspects of service are executed flawlessly.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a hospitality or restaurant environment is preferred but not mandatory. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with team members and customers alike. A proactive attitude towards helping others and working as part of a team. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed. A passion for providing outstanding customer service in a fast-paced environment.
