We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic front of house team member to join our work family. In this role you will play a vital piece in providing exceptional dining experiences for our valued locals and guests. You will be responsible for taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring that all guests receive outstanding hospitality throughout their visit and a friendly face when they walk through the door. Your ability to multitask and maintain a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment will be essential to your success in this role.
Responsibilities
Greet and seat guests promptly, ensuring they feel welcomed and valued.
Take accurate food and drink orders using the point-of-sale system.
Serve food and beverages in a timely manner while adhering to food safety standards.
Upsell menu items to enhance the dining experience and increase sales.
Assist with food preparation as needed, ensuring high standards of cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen area.
Manage time effectively to ensure efficient service during busy periods.
Respond promptly to guest inquiries and requests, providing help with menu selections or dietary requirements.
Maintain knowledge of menu items, including ingredients and preparation methods, to offer informed recommendations to guests.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow and address any issues that may arise during service.
Skills
Strong basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately.
Experience in food preparation is advantageous but not essential.
Excellent time management skills to prioritise tasks effectively in a busy environment.
Knowledge of kitchen operations and food safety practices is preferred.
Proven ability in upselling techniques to enhance guest satisfaction.
A genuine passion for hospitality and delivering exceptional guest services.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage positively with guests and team members alike.
A culinary background or interest can be beneficial for understanding menu items better.
