Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic people to join our team at The clubhouse in Penrith ahead of the busy golf season. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality and a commitment to providing exceptional guest services. You will play a crucial role in ensuring that our guests have a memorable dining experience by delivering high-quality service, assisting with food preparation, and maintaining food safety standards.

This is a part time position with varying hours available from day shifts, evening shifts and weekends, and we are looking to hire more than one person to give further flexibility on hours.

Duties

Greet and welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner. Take orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring all dietary requirements are noted. Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining attention to detail. Assist in the preparation of food items as needed, adhering to culinary standards. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the dining area and kitchen. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards. Upsell menu items to enhance the guest experience and increase sales. Handle guest inquiries and complaints with professionalism, striving for resolution. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service and quality of dishes. Manage time effectively during busy periods to maintain service flow. Open/close shifts and lock up premises some kitchen assitance required basic jobs prepping veg washing up etc

Requirements

Previous experience in a hospitality or food service role is preferred but not essential. Barista experience would be beneficial Knowledge of food safety practices is highly desirable. Basic maths skills for handling transactions and managing bills. Strong time management skills to prioritise tasks effectively during peak hours. Excellent communication skills with a focus on guest services. Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment. A team player who is willing to help colleagues as needed. A passion for culinary arts and an eagerness to learn more about food preparation techniques.
