Job Summary
Dance&Arts LTD is seeking a passionate and dedicated
Basic Gymnastics (mat-based only) Instructor
to lead our afterschool club in a primary school in
Clapton, East London
. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with children and wants to share their creativity and energy through dance.
You'll deliver engaging Basic Gymnastics (mat-based only) sessions that build confidence, teamwork, and rhythm in a fun, inclusive setting. The position is paid and suitable for both experienced instructors and enthusiastic new teachers eager to develop their skills.
Responsibilities
Plan and deliver dynamic Basic Gymnastics (mat-based only) sessions for KS1 pupils
Demonstrate proper technique, rhythm, and safe movement practices
Inspire students to express themselves creatively through the elements of gymnastics
Adapt teaching methods to different learning styles and abilities
Maintain a positive, supportive, and structured classroom atmosphere
Communicate effectively with school staff and the Dance&Arts coordination team
Follow safeguarding and health & safety standards
Experience and Skills
Experience teaching or working with children preferred
Strong knowledge of Basic Gymnastics (mat-based only)
Excellent communication and classroom management skills
Enthusiastic, reliable, and passionate about inspiring young learners
Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
Qualifications in dance instruction are desirable but not required
Job Type: Freelance
Pay: 35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 1 per week
