We are seeking a skilled and versatile Fitter to join our construction and maintenance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining various structural and mechanical components across a range of projects. Duties

Interpret and work from technical schematics, drawings, and specifications to complete fitting tasks accurately. Install, assemble, and repair structural elements using hand tools, power tools, and specialised fabrication equipment. Conduct welding, masonry, plastering, carpentry, roofing, plumbing, electrical work, and construction painting as required. Fabricate components on-site or in workshops to meet project specifications. Use construction tools effectively for cutting, shaping, and fitting materials such as metal, wood, or masonry. Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations and company standards. Collaborate with other tradespeople to complete projects efficiently and to a high standard. Maintain a clean and organised work environment at all times.

Experience

Proven experience in construction-related roles with knowledge of roofing, plumbing, welding, electrical systems, masonry, carpentry, plastering, fabrication, and construction painting. Familiarity with reading schematics and technical drawings is essential. Hands-on experience with hand tools and power tools used in fitting tasks. Previous exposure to working on diverse projects involving construction or renovation is highly desirable. Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail with a focus on safety and quality standards.
