Chandler Material Supplies is a 3rd generation family owned builders merchant, operating out of a 3 acre site in Widford, Chelmsford, serving the people of Essex since the 1950's. Today the business provides building, plumbing and bathroom supplies to the trade and general public, employing 50 staff with over 450 years' experience between them.

Job Purpose:

To work as part of the Showroom team, developing and maintaining outstanding customer relations to maximise profitability and uphold the good reputation of the company. You will understand Showroom customers' needs and exceed their expectations, by ensuring they experience an efficient and effective service, from their initial enquiry and their first visit to the showroom through to completion of their order.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

Greet customers and establish their needs Provide advice and recommendations on products Produce 3D designs for customers using CAD Secure maximum sales orders from enquiries Produce customer quotes Process customers' orders and payments Maintain good relationships with the customers Drive customer recommendations through the service offered Ensure the Showroom is clean and smart at all times

Person Specification:

Bathroom Showroom experience preferred (training provided) Strong communication skills and the ability to adapt these to suit varying customers Strong listening skills Good numeracy skills Excellent product knowledge & a willingness to learn about new products Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and the ability to learn additional software packages Working knowledge of CAD programmes / the ability to learn these Experience of working as part of a team Driven to develop their own behaviours and skills to ensure they consistently improve and perform to a high standard Proactive and enthusiastic Able to multitask Possesses strong resilience with the ability to stay calm and professional during busier periods Strong negotiating and interpersonal skills Competent administration skills Strong at relationships building, with both customers and colleagues

Pay: 28,000.00-33,000.00 per year
