What we're looking for...
We are seeking a proactive and dedicated Project Safety Support to strengthen our Supply Chain team at our Cumbernauld site. This crucial role will be instrumental in fostering a robust safety culture, ensuring compliance, and providing essential daily safety support across our dynamic operations, including a specific focus on our exciting portfolio of projects in support of our ambitious growth plans..
You will play a vital part in protecting our people, our processes, and our planet, ensuring that safety remains at the forefront of everything we do.
Your responsibilities will include...
Daily Safety Support: Providing immediate and ongoing safety guidance and support to our Supply Chain operations, ensuring safe working practices are always maintained
Safety Reporting & Analysis: Reviewing and critically assessing Hazard Observation Cards (HOCs) and safety conversations raised by employees, identifying trends, and driving corrective actions
Risk Management: Maintaining and actively managing the safety heat map, identifying high-risk areas, and implementing targeted interventions to reduce potential incidents
Acting as a key liaison with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and Contractors on site
Ensuring clear communication of AG Barr safety standards and expectations
Monitoring behaviours of all personnel, challenging unsafe acts, and promoting best practices
Measuring adherence against Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) for all work conducted
Enforcing our Management System (including the 'red card' system) for non-compliance
Project Safety Support: Providing dedicated safety support to key supply chain projects,
What you'll bring...
Proven experience (2-3+ years) in a dedicated Health & Safety role, ideally within a manufacturing, supply chain, or logistics environment
NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent qualification) in Occupational Health & Safety
Demonstrable experience in reviewing and managing risk assessments and method statements (RAMS)
A proactive and visible approach to safety, with the ability to engage, influence, and coach at all levels
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, capable of delivering safety messages effectively
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
Proficiency in IT systems with experience of Google preferable
