We are looking for a hands-on BCBS239 Delivery SME with a strong finance change and accountancy background to lead the finance department's contribution to a critical regulatory programme.



This role will focus specifically on the finance and accounting dimensions of BCBS239, working closely with risk and data teams but driving delivery from the finance side. You'll be joining at the early stages of the programme, shaping execution and laying the foundation for long-term success.



Key Responsibilities



Act as the Subject Matter Expert on BCBS239 from a finance and accounting perspective

Own and drive the delivery of finance reporting obligations under BCBS239

Translate complex regulatory requirements into actionable finance change activities

Partner with risk, data, and technology teams while owning delivery from the finance function

Work hands-on with data quality, reconciliation, ledger mapping, and reporting process improvements

Liaise with senior stakeholders to ensure timelines, dependencies, and deliverables are clear and achievable

Ensure alignment of finance outputs with BCBS239 principles (accuracy, completeness, timeliness, auditability)


Must have Skills & Experience



Proven finance change experience within large, regulated financial institutions

Accounting qualification (e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or demonstrable equivalent experience

Deep understanding of financial reporting processes, ledger structures, and regulatory data requirements

Strong experience delivering risk and finance data initiatives, ideally within BCBS239 or similar frameworks

Hands-on, delivery-focused mindset -- a go-getter who takes ownership and drives results

Ability to operate independently, without direct reports, but with access to functional resources

Experience managing multiple stakeholders and navigating complex governance structures
