Salary: 44,631 to 47,552 per annum

35 Hours per week

Location: Wildwood, Worcester (WR5)

THE ROLE

Health and Social care is in the spotlight.

In Worcestershire, commissioners and finance teams from the County Council and Herefordshire & Worcestershire Clinical Integrated Care System (HWICB) are working closely to support the most vulnerable in society and to ensure services across health and social care mean that Worcestershire residents are healthier, live longer, have a better quality of life and remain independent for as long as possible.

Due to an internal promotion, we are seeking to recruit an outstanding, motivated individual to work across both organisations to support services that are jointly commissioned and funded through the Better Care Fund. Joining the team now will provide the opportunity to build something special, reshaping and commissioning high quality, value for money services that tangibly improve outcomes for adults in Worcestershire. We've worked hard to create friendly, welcoming work environments where everyone is working towards the same cause, providing the best possible services for the county.

This post is jointly funded by the County Council and HWICB, with equal responsibility to the two partners. The host authority for the direct management and employment of the post will however be Worcestershire County Council.

The successful candidate will have opportunity to shape high quality, innovative and value for money services funded by the Better Care Fund that tangibly improve outcomes for residents in Worcestershire as well as opportunity to engage in a wide variety of change and transformational work across the health and care system that is relevant to the role.

The Council encourages its people to make a positive difference and our vision and values - customer focus, "can do" culture, freedom within boundaries - are at the very centre of everything we do, and the role will provide the opportunity for ongoing professional development and growth.

YOUR BACKGROUND

With strong partnership working and influencing skills and a track record of building solid working relationships across a range of stakeholders and senior colleagues, the successful candidate will be able to tangibly demonstrate experience and ability to meet the person specification criteria, in particular:

An in-depth understanding of commissioning across the health and care system and a successful record of leading commissioning activities across the entire commissioning cycle. The ability to develop and maintain productive partnerships, with a diverse group of stakeholders, through effective communication, influencing and working relationships. The ability to assimilate, analyse data and present complex information to innovate and drive change. The ability to operate under pressure in scenarios where deadlines can be non-negotiable whilst still maintaining oversight and management of multiple issues without any loss of quality. The ability to use verbal and written communications to effectively influence decisions across a wide variety of audiences.
