Forsters is a leading Real Estate firm. The practice is ranked in Tier One for Commercial Real Estate and Tier Two for Residential Property in Chambers UK Guide and the HNW Guide. This role would be working directly with this team, raising its profile, identifying and developing target clients, assisting and developing multi-channel marketing campaigns, pitching to win and retain business. Job Summary

We are looking to recruit a BD & Marketing Executive who would work with the Commercial Real Estate, Construction, Planning and Property Litigation Teams. This role would provide a good next career step for someone with experience working for a professional services firm focused on real estate or someone from a real estate company, agent, investor, developer or operator. The role holder will have responsibility for driving action, devising and implementing marketing strategies and being the go-to resource for four of the teams\xe2\x80\x99 sector groups (Later Living, Buy to Rent, Student Accommodation, Sustainability) plus the Planning team (a specialist group). The role holder will report to the Commercial Real Estate BD & Marketing Manager and there will be a high level of autonomy in the role. The Commercial Real Estate group is a dynamic and engaged team which produces good quality content, is open to new ideas and happy to receive direction on best practice in terms of marketing and BD. The role holder would act as an advisor to the fee earner teams. There is scope to bring fresh thinking and new ideas looking at B2B marketing trends both within and outside of the legal sector.

Main duties and responsibilities

Sector strategy

  • Review and update the sector plans and complete/devise any new plans as needed.
  • Responsible for driving actions and delivery.

Marketing campaigns

  • Develop and execute cross-channel marketing campaigns aligned to the sector groups, with support of the BDM, our digital team and freelance graphic designers. In particular, there is an ESG campaign to continue/deliver for the sustainability group.
  • Creativity and new ideas on formats and delivery is encouraged.

Communications

  • As appropriate, work with the firm\xe2\x80\x99s preferred PR agency on communications strategy for campaign, team and deal promotion
  • Manage internal comms around new BD initiatives and communicate the work of the CRE team
  • Manage client communications as part of the job holders\xe2\x80\x99 sector group and campaign work
  • Draft engaging marketing copy for new and existing web pages for selected sectors groups and initiatives.

Business Development

  • Work with selected partners (split with the BD & Marketing Manager) to develop individual sales pipelines of key clients, targets and referral contacts.
  • Assist the BDM with CRE practice initiatives

Pitching/new business

  • As needed - support and manage major client pitches; research, collating information and proofing
  • As and when required, help partners prepare for pitches, BD meetings and other presentations by facilitating rehearsals and providing constructive feedback
  • Maintain a library of credentials documents covering sectors and services
  • Liaise with Library/KDLs/etc in collation and review of data used for credentials meetings/documents
  • Manage a library of standard BDM materials including CVs and case studies.

Directory submissions

  • Work closely with Planning, Property Litigation and Construction groups to compile and submit entries for Chambers and Legal 500.

Skills

  • Proficient in use of MS Office (specifically Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • A minimum of four years\xe2\x80\x99 experience of business development and marketing within a professional services firm (ideally a law firm) and with proven experience within a real estate environment
  • Developed communication (both oral and written) and interpersonal skills with ability to liaise effectively with internal clients and colleagues and external suppliers and consultants
  • Excellent organisational, delegation and prioritisation skills with ability to manage time efficiently
  • Good attention to detail. Accurate and thorough.
