This role suits someone experienced in wood-based manufacturing, who takes pride in accuracy, machine care, and reliable throughput.
Key Responsibilities
Operate and maintain
beam saws and edgebanders
(SCM machinery preferred)
Cut, size and edge panels to specification and tolerance
Interpret job sheets, cutting lists and production drawings
Monitor edge quality, adhesion and finish standards
Record production data, outputs and material usage
Support workflow efficiency and assist other machine areas when required
Maintain safe, clean and organised working areas
Essential Experience
Hands-on experience operating
beam saws and/or edgebanders
Background in wood machining or fire door/component manufacturing (preferred)* Ability to read production drawings and cutting plans
Strong attention to detail, quality and throughput targets
Comfortable recording production numbers and performance data
