Urban Chic Beauty

has an exciting opportunity for a fully qualified beauty therapist who has recent in-salon experience in all aspects of beauty (not college salon) If you have a qualification in lash lifting this is an advantage but not essential. You must hold a qualification that includes hot wax/non-strip wax, whether it's within your NVQ training or a separate course you attended.

You will not be expected to perform an intimate hot wax treatment until you have received sufficient in-salon training from us to the level we require.

Your NVQ level 2 and 3 in beauty therapy must be from the UK only.

This role is perfect for a Beauty Therapist who wants to develop advanced intimate waxing skills. You'll receive full training and support in intimate hot waxing and speed techniques, so you can progress quickly to higher pay and commission.

We are an established business in Leeds city centre and are looking to expand the team and build a culture with people who love their job and enjoy the spirit of a salon environment.

Very good rates of pay and commission. Bonus earning potential through service commission once you have established a base of clients (approx after 3 months)

A trade test will be required in the interview process to assess your basic skill level, this will consist of a back massage, gel polish application, eyebrow shape/facial waxing and you will be required to perform a basic bikini wax with non-strip wax to see where your level is. Do not worry about this as we just need to see where you're at, even if you have only used it a few times in college. You do not need to be experienced in this area.

You will receive a one hour paid lunch break every shift, maximum 8 hour working day including break.

In salon training in MonuSkin professional skincare, advanced facials using the AquaPure facial system, Lashbase Korean inspired lash lift & brow lamination. Elim pedicure. Tint spray tanning system.

It is essential that you are able to perform a gel polish manicure and pedicure to a high standard. We do not require biab or nail extension experience as we no longer offer this service.

This is an employed position so If you work for yourself in beauty please do not apply as this will directly conflict with the role, this includes having a social media profile that promotes your own services. We do not expect you to 'bring' any clients with you from a previously employed position as we respect that other salons usually have invested hugely to gain those clients. You will Build your client base from within.

Important - Training & Commitment
At Urban Chic Beauty we provide additional in-salon advanced waxing training that goes far beyond standard college courses and in-person courses that are available. This training is highly valuable and normally costs therapists a significant amount to obtain independently.

For this reason, all team members are required to sign a training agreement. If you leave the salon within a set period after receiving training, you may be required to repay part of the cost. This ensures fairness and protects the investment we make in developing your skills.

Provide exceptional customer service by greeting clients and addressing their needs. Perform all beauty treatments to an excellent standard. To complete the training needed and reach the level of competency required for the role in a timely manner Maintain a clean and organised working environment. Communicate effectively with clients to understand their preferences and provide tailored services. Stay updated on beauty trends and techniques to offer the best services possible. Represent the brand in a professional way at all times whilst working in the salon.

Please make sure travel to the city isn't an ongoing issue as we are based in Leeds city centre.

Base Pay: From 13.00 per hour
