Bedroom & Kitchen Designer/Sales

reporting to the Business General Manager

Salary 25,000 - 32,000 dependent on experience O.T.E. up to 40,000 p.a.

Job Type - Permanent - Full Time

Hours - 37. 5 hours per week Monday to Friday, some Saturday and evening work may be required to meet the needs of the customer, by appointment only.

28 days holiday per year, Christmas and New Year closure.

Location - Chester, Cheshire

We are looking for an enthusiastic designer to lead our sales development. The successful candidate must be able to design kitchens, bedrooms, home offices, media walls, in fact anything our customers need. You must be able to use 3D Cad (arti Cad). This is a specific requirement. Please do not apply if you do not have significant 3D Cad experience & knowledge and good computer skills. An understanding of Easy Quote (pricing model) would be an advantage.

Main Responsibilities

- Create pipeline of new customers.

- Visit customers premises to complete detailed accurate measurement surveys to allow design, plans and elevations to be produced for approval by the customer.

- Be able to advise customers with confidence on colours, layout and finishes.

- Have the ability to provide excellent customer service at all times is a prerequisite of the role.

- Develop new market opportunities.

- Produce accurate design and installation project costs.

- Manage customer payment process.

- Manage and present Company showroom to a high standard.

About You

- You must be a great timekeeper and be enthusiastic to join and work as part of a small but growing team.

- You must have a clean driving licence and own a vehicle which must insured for business use; mileage expenses will be reimbursed.

- Have a can-do attitude towards your role within the business.

- Help us grow into new sectors through your willingness to work hard and help us improve.

- Excellent attention to detail. Average will not be good enough

- Be process driven with a good knowledge of costings and project management

- Have strong computer skills.

- Be a great communicator both internally and externally.

Other desirable knowledge and skills

- Previous experience of visiting customers premises would be an advantage.

- Knowledge of the kitchen/bedroom installation and the construction process.

- Knowledge of plan checking and end to end process management.

- Experience of working in the kitchen/bedroom design sector.
