We're thrilled to say we're now on the lookout for fantastic practitioner to join the team!

SCHEDULE

17.5 hours a week during term-time (38 weeks)

o 7.45am-9am and 3.15pm-5.30pm each day

Up to 46 hours a week in holiday periods

o 8am-5.30pm each day

Holiday: 5.6 weeks per year

JOB PURPOSE

To provide a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment for children aged 5-12 during before and after school hours in term time, and full-day sessions during school holidays. You'll support children's play, wellbeing, and development through a range of engaging activities, while maintaining a strong focus on safeguarding and care.

MAIN DUTIES

Supervise and engage children in a variety of age-appropriate activities including creative play, outdoor games, and quiet time.

Support the daily routine, including breakfast/snack provision, set-up and pack-away of resources.

Build positive relationships with children, parents, and the wider school community.

Promote children's independence, self-esteem, and positive behaviour.

Maintain a safe and clean environment, following safeguarding and health and safety procedures at all times.

Assist with record keeping such as registers, accident and incident logs, and planning where required.

Attend regular training and team meetings to support your professional development.

QUALIFICATION AND PERSONAL REQUIREMENTS

Essential:

A clear understanding of how children develop

A clear understanding of the ways children enjoy learning.

A clear understanding of safeguarding principles.

Reliable, enthusiastic, and flexible.

A can-do attitude.

Desirable:

Relevant childcare qualification (Level 2 or above).

Paediatric First Aid certificate.

Food hygiene awareness.

REPORTING

Reports to the nursery manager, or in their absence the deputy manager or most senior practitioner on site.
