Responsibilities
Engage in meaningful conversations with clients, offering companionship and emotional support.
Organise and participate in social activities, outings, or hobbies tailored to individual preferences.
Assist clients with daily routines as required, ensuring their comfort and safety.
Maintain accurate records of interactions and activities conducted during visits.
Collaborate with other team members and professionals to ensure holistic support for clients.
Promote a positive environment that encourages independence and confidence among clients.
Respect client confidentiality and adhere to all organisational policies and procedures.
Experience
Previous experience in social care, community work, or related fields is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to listen actively and empathise genuinely.
Compassionate nature with a strong desire to support vulnerable individuals.
Organised with the ability to manage time effectively across multiple visits or activities.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Basic understanding of safeguarding principles is desirable but not mandatory; training will be available. This position is suitable for motivated individuals committed to making a positive impact within their community through dedicated companionship and support services.
