SEN Teaching Assistant

, you will work closely with teachers and therapists to support children across various levels of need, helping them achieve their full potential both academically and emotionally.

Applicants must have previous experience supporting children with SEN, either through professional settings or personal exposure. We are especially keen to hear from individuals who have demonstrated the ability to manage challenging behaviour in roles such as a teaching assistant, youth worker, carer, or other relevant support positions.

Daily Duties of an SEN Teaching Assistant:



Provide tailored one-to-one or small group support to pupils with

Autism

and other complex needs Assist in implementing individual education and behaviour support plans designed by the SENCo and teaching staff Support pupils in developing their communication, social, and emotional regulation skills Help create and maintain a structured, calm, and engaging classroom environment Monitor student behaviour and apply appropriate de-escalation strategies when necessary Work closely with class teachers and therapists to adapt lesson content to suit pupils' abilities Prepare resources and visual aids that assist learning and independence Encourage positive interactions and support the development of life skills Maintain accurate records of pupil progress and incidents as required Participate in staff training and regular briefings to ensure consistency in approach and care

Engage in early childhood education activities that stimulate learning and development. Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting strategies as necessary.

Pay: 90.00-105.00 per day
