The Role:
As a Behaviour and Pastoral Mentor, you'll provide
1:1 and small group support
, helping pupils develop
emotional regulation
,
resilience
, and
positive behaviour strategies
. You'll work closely with teaching staff, families, and external professionals to ensure consistent and compassionate care.
Key Responsibilities:
Support pupils with behavioural and emotional needs through tailored interventions
Implement and monitor behaviour support plans
Use positive behaviour strategies to de-escalate challenging situations
Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils
Collaborate with staff, parents, and external agencies
Maintain accurate records and contribute to pupil progress reviews
? What We're Looking For:
Experience working with children with SEN and behavioural needs
Understanding of trauma-informed practice and behaviour management strategies
Calm, empathetic, and resilient approach
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Relevant training or qualifications in behaviour support, youth work, or pastoral care (desirable)
