We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Behaviour Mentor Lead to support and guide children in their educational and personal development. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in education and have experience working with children, particularly in special education settings. This role requires excellent communication skills, a nurturing approach, and the ability to implement effective behaviour management strategies.
Responsibilities
Provide one-on-one mentoring to children, assisting them with academic subjects such as maths and literacy.
Lead and support a group of behaviour mentors.
Implement tailored learning plans that cater to the individual needs of each child.
Utilise techniques from speech therapy and applied behaviour analysis to enhance communication and learning outcomes.
Foster a positive learning environment that encourages curiosity and engagement in physical education activities.
Support children with special educational needs through effective tutoring and behaviour management strategies.
Maintain clear communication with parents and educators regarding the child's progress and any areas for improvement.
Conduct regular assessments to monitor development and adapt teaching methods accordingly.
Engage in proofreading educational materials to ensure clarity and accuracy.
Deliver strategies and training to support staff.
Experience
Proven experience working with children in an educational or childcare setting is essential.
Background in education or special education is highly desirable.
Familiarity with mentoring or tutoring practices, particularly in subjects like maths and literacy.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are crucial for effective interaction with children, parents, and colleagues.
Experience in behaviour management techniques is beneficial, as well as knowledge of speech therapy practices.
