Behaviour Support Assistants required for a SEMH school in Hodge Hill TeacherActive are actively recruiting for Behaviour Support Assistants, working with KS2 and KS3 students in an SEMH setting in Hodge Hill. The The school provides education for pupils in Birmingham who are unable to attend mainstream school for either Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) Needs or medical reasons. The school makes provision for learners who require a short period of Alternative Provision away from mainstream school and for learners with long term and complex SEMH Needs. The school are looking for a passionate and creative individual who has experience working with challenging behaviours. You must be enthusiastic and highly motivated and will be expected to make a significant contribution to the school. You will join their vision of high expectations of achievement and behaviour and offer a nurturing and supportive ethos, celebrating differences and ensuring that everyone meets their full potential. As a Behaviour Support Assistants, you will be expected to: Provide support for pupils ensuring their safety and access to learning activities Establish trusted relationships with pupils and work with them on an individual needs basis Promote the inclusion of all pupils in the classroom Encourage pupils to interact in classroom learning and with their peers Promote self confidence and set individual tailored goals and challenges Have Experience in youth work or relevant experience working with challenging behaviour and or SEMH Required Skills & Experience: Previous experience working with teenagers, strong behaviour management, team player attitude with a positive and flexible approach to work, experience within an SEMH school or setting.
