Overview

We are seeking a skilled Joiner to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various aspects of joinery based around windows and doors, demonstrating expertise in machining and bench work. This role requires a hands-on approach to manufacturing windows, ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards. The Joiner will play a crucial role in delivering projects on time and to specification.

Duties

machining and assembly of wooden doors and windows. Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively for cutting, shaping, and finishing wood materials. Possibly spraying and glazing from time to time. Working through projects from start to finish. Carrying out maintenance on machines when needed. Handle heavy lifting and manoeuvring of materials safely to prevent injury or damage. Collaborate with other tradespeople to ensure seamless project execution and completion.

Skills

Needs to be an experienced joiner, who is competent in working immediately in a workshop on project. Strong knowledge of joinery principles and practices. Experienced in using hand tools such as chisels, saws, and drills with precision. Familiarity with power tools including routers, sanders, and nail guns for efficient work output. Able to work alone from job sheets. Capable of heavy lifting as part of daily responsibilities within construction environments. Competence in painting techniques for finishing touches on projects. Reliable, we are a fast paced team and being involved is crucial. Will need driving licence.
