Benchmark Assessors are responsible for undertaking desktop analysis using client supplied building information and digital sources. Afterwards, taking digital measurements and using BCH's in house Benchmark valuation methodology to calculate the value of a building, comparing to external cost information and case studies. Following this, a report will be completed showing the results.
Day to day of the role
Benchmark Assessors are required to work from BCHs Formal House office in Cheltenham. Assessments are allocated to the surveyor who must then complete the assessment within client KPI's averaging around 7 working days. A normal surveying day might include completing Benchmark Assessments to the target set for them including discussions with customers as required. You may have to discuss the property with the client or a named representative to find out more information.
The successful candidate will need to demonstrate the following:
Strong IT skills and a good working knowledge of Word, Excel and PowerPoint with an aptitude for online research
Ability to work using own initiative as well as part of a team
Strong organisation and planning skills with the ability to effectively prioritise workload
Meticulous attention to detail
Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines with constant stream of work
Enthusiastic attitude and helpful manner
Education to GCSE/A'Level or equivalent. You should have a minimum level of grades A-C or 4-9 for Maths and English.
Salary based on experience.
