Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and professional Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods and materials efficiently and safely, ensuring timely deliveries across designated routes. This role requires a strong focus on safety, excellent communication skills, and the ability to operate various types of vehicles, including flatbed lorries. The Driver will play a crucial part in maintaining the smooth operation of our logistics and supply chain processes.
Duties
Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any mechanical issues promptly
Load and unload cargo with care, ensuring items are secured properly during transit
Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs
Communicate effectively with dispatchers, warehouse staff, and clients regarding schedules and delivery statuses
Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including driving hours and load limits
Assist with warehouse duties when required, including inventory management and stock organisation
Skills
Proven experience in commercial driving and delivery roles
Strong driving skills with a valid driver's licence or equivalent
Mechanical knowledge to perform basic vehicle maintenance checks
Good communication skills to liaise effectively with team members
Warehouse experience is advantageous for understanding loading procedures and inventory handling
Familiarity with driving regulations and safety standards within the UK
