Support Worker - Children and Young People (Crisis Support)

About the Role:
We are looking for a dedicated and resilient support worker to join our team, supporting children and young people in crisis. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young people who may be facing trauma, emotional distress, or behavioural challenges.
You will provide consistent care, guidance, and emotional support to help children build confidence, stability, and positive futures.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide immediate hands-on support to children and young people in crisis situations.
Ensure the safety of children in your care
Respond calmly and effectively to challenging behaviours.
Build trusting relationships to promote emotional wellbeing and positive change.
Support children with daily routines, education, and life skills.
Maintain accurate records and contribute to care and support planning.
Work collaboratively with colleagues, families, and external professionals.
Work closely with management and other professionals
Support with cleaning and cooking
About You:
Minimum 12 months' experience working with children or young people with challenging behaviours.
Resilient, patient, and able to stay calm under pressure.
Passionate about making a difference in the lives of vulnerable children and young people.
Understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Full UK driving licence desirable but not essential.
A full Enhanced DBS Check
You must be Flexible and be available to pick up various shifts including sleep in and waking nights
5 year employment referencing checks
You will be required to complete online and practical before starting work
