An exciting opportunity has arisen for a

Senior Design Estimator

to join a leading London-based high-end design and manufacturing business. Reporting to the Design & Estimation Manager, this role is central to ensuring high-quality, cost-effective production of bespoke and catalogue sculptural pieces.

Key Responsibilities

Work with Design & Estimation Manager and Sales teams to scope custom and bespoke projects. Build relationships with procurement to obtain quotations and source new suppliers. Collaborate with stakeholders across the business to ensure smooth project delivery. Prepare and submit quotations by identifying cost factors such as materials, time, equipment, and labour. Research and assess suppliers' capabilities. Use internal ERP systems and interpret CAD/technical drawings to prepare estimates. Ensure accurate handover of quotation details to production. Suggest ways to improve profitability while maintaining quality. Review catalogue costs annually and report significant changes. Support BOM (Bill of Materials) accuracy and contribute to margin performance reviews. Work with operations to improve quotation turnaround times. Collaborate on new product development and commercialisation projects.

Skills & Attributes

Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials, and costings. Excellent Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook). Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator). ERP/estimating software knowledge (advantage). Analytical, highly numerical, and detail-oriented. Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities. Excellent spoken and written English. Team leadership and motivational skills.

Experience & Qualifications

Solid experience in estimating, costing, and design (essential). Experience in manufacturing interior products for the high-end design sector (advantage). BA(Hons) in Product Design, Architecture, or a comparable field (desirable).
