What you'll be doing



As a

Bid Lead (Estimator)

you will have the following accountabilities:


Lead the pre-construction process and secure projects via work winning. Work closely with existing customers and form new strategic customer relationships. Undertake buildability reviews and determine project strategy. Lead and/or support Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) projects. Review enquiries, technical documents, and specifications. Develop pre-construction strategies and delivery programmes. Manage and coordinate input from clients, designers, subcontractors, and in-house teams. Identify and mitigate project risks, maintaining a pre-construction risk register. Prepare project estimates, pricing documents, and manage subcontract enquiries. Deliver internal presentations and support governance processes. Handover successful bids to operational and commercial teams, and follow up with clients post-submission.


Who we're looking for



Self-motivated, disciplined, and able to work both remotely and collaboratively. Excellent numeracy, writing, and communication skills. Confident liaising at all levels, internally and externally. Team player, willing to support colleagues to meet deadlines. Understanding of the New Engineering Contract (NEC) is essential. Knowledge of standards, specifications, and construction techniques in structural repair and maintenance is advantageous. Experience with CANDY estimating software and Jaggaer procurement system is a plus. Proficient in Microsoft Office; Microsoft Project experience desirable.

We also undertake testing, inspection and structural health monitoring, pile testing and noise, vibration and air quality monitoring.
