What is the overall job?
Based at our London Head Office and reporting to the Head of Bid Management & Marketing, the Bid Manager will lead the end-to-end bid process, ensuring high-quality submissions that reflect Multiplex's brand and strategy. These are the key responsibilities:
Own the process from EOI/PQQ through to tender submission and handover to the construction team.
Engage consultants and key trades early to develop value enhancements and design optimisation.
Develop bid method statements, programme proposals, and technical submissions with Technical Leads.
Review logistics strategies, construction methodology, design and engineering solutions, programme, and sustainability for accuracy and buildability.
Compile all bid elements including team profiles, case studies, project experience, and financial data.
Produce and manage deliverables schedules to ensure timely submission of tenders.
Track budgets and engage specialist functions for technical and commercial input.
Prepare and present at technical and commercial settlement meetings prior to sign-off.
Analyse client clarifications and provide clear, concise responses.
Build strong client relationships, anticipate needs, and exceed expectations throughout the process.
Adhere to Credit and Risk Charter and continuously improve pre-construction processes.
Manage CRM data and capture lessons learned for future submissions.
What do I need to be successful in this role?
You will bring proven experience in leading teams to deliver complex programmes through effective management and collaboration. The role requires the ability to manage pre-construction and bid processes seamlessly while engaging diverse stakeholders. You should be skilled at turning broad concepts into clear, compelling messages, with a strategic mindset to identify and develop win themes. Strong communication and presentation skills are essential, including the confidence to brief senior executives and engage clients and consultants professionally. The ideal candidate will also coach team members for interviews, negotiate effectively, and influence stakeholders constructively.
A note on diversity:
Diversity is about celebrating the ways we are all different and appreciating the unique qualities that every employee brings. We invite applications from people of all genders, cultures and walks of life. Research shows that women and people from underrepresented groups are less like to apply for roles if they don't meet every qualification. So even if you don't match all the criteria - if you are passionate about helping to construct a better future, we'd love to hear from you.
We are committed to providing a barrier-free work environment and can support with reasonable adjustments at any stage of the recruitment process. Simply inform our Talent Acquisition team.
